The Romanian Society of Bioinformatics and the West University of Timișoara are inviting junior and senior research scientists in Romania to attend a one-day virtual workshop on Genomics of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) on the 4th of November, 2020.
The first part of the event consists of lectures that present the importance of Genomics for understanding the spread of AMR. Please be aware that some of the talks will be delivered in Romanian. This will be emphasized in the Schedule published below.
The second part of the day consists of a hands-on session that will equip the participants with technical skills needed in the study of AMR.
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Ben Moore from the EMBL-EBI will deliver the hands-on sessions on how to use the Ensembl Genome Browser to explore bacterial genomics and how to use VEP to visualise genomic variants.
